ABSTRACT

This study investigates the Makerere University Students' Guild Tribunal, an internal judicial body within the Makerere University Students Guild, which handles disciplinary issues and adjudicates student disputes. It assesses the adequacy of the tribunal as a dispute resolution organ within the student body. Additionally, it compares the tribunal's operations with existing literature on similar judicial bodies. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Makerere University Guild Tribunal in resolving student conflicts and identifies challenges it faces. It also proposes recommendations to enhance the tribunal's efficiency and contribute to improved student governance within the university.
