Modern Slavery in the Informal Economy

In Uganda, 8 out of 10 workers are employed in the informal economy doing jobs like vending, boda boda riding, domestic work among others. These jobs often do not come with contracts or legal protection. Without clear rights, informal workers are at risk of modern slavery.
