Gendered Slavery

In Uganda, women and girls endure modern slavery through forced domestic labor, trafficking, and early marriage. They are trapped by poverty, discrimination, and inadequate legal safeguards and suffer exploitation as they are underpaid, overworked, and abused.

However, this cycle can be broken. Strengthening laws, protecting domestic workers, training officials, and supporting survivors with legal aid and shelter can create real change. Together, we must fight for justice and build a future where no woman or girl lives in bondage.
