Child Slavery on the Streets

Over 80% of street children in Kampala come from Karamoja, forced into begging, labor, or worse. They are robbed of safety, education, and childhood. Laws exist to protect them, but without enforcement, exploitation continues unchecked.

This cycle of poverty and abuse must end. Authorities, NGOs, and communities must act now to uphold children's rights, ensure schooling, and break this systemic injustice. Child slavery isn’t just a constitutional violation ; it’s a moral failure we can no longer ignore.
